Reviving Thunder Bay's work culture.

In 2012, two entrepreneurs, Andre and Stacey, identified a gap in Thunder Bay's office market. They combined their unique talents and experiences to address the needs of local businesses. These businesses struggled to find workspaces that could inspire their teams and clients, enhance productivity and collaboration, and attract top talent to the city. With Open Mind Interiors, Andre and Stacey embarked on a mission to transform the landscape and meet these demands head-on.

That’s what drove the decision to breathe new life into an old library. We wanted something just as one-of-a-kind as our business and our philosophy.

Embracing diversity and supporting our vibrant community.

  • Open Mind Interiors proudly stands as a member of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce. We value their advocacy efforts on policy and economic matters impacting small businesses in Thunder Bay. Additionally, we appreciate the networking opportunities and continuous education and events they provide.

  • OMI proudly belongs to the Thunder Bay Construction Association, representing the construction sector in our region along with the associated architectural, engineering, and design professionals. Our membership enables us to remain informed about local project tenders and opportunities.

  • The CFIB champions Canadian small businesses by engaging with different levels of government to advocate for improved taxes, laws, and regulations vital to enterprises like OMI. Additionally, they provide us with invaluable business advice on HR policies, employment standards, and essential business tools.

  • Upon purchasing and extensively renovating the former library building located at the intersection of Brock and Browns Streets, Open Mind Interiors became a proud member of the Westfort Village Association. Despite being three blocks removed from the main business district on Frederica, we remain committed to the revitalization efforts of Westfort and actively contribute to supporting other small businesses in the neighborhood.
